Sprint Challenge

The 60 Second Sprint Challenge is an informal indoor rowing competition being run at the Grange St. Paul's Hotel as part of Row24.

The Challenge is open to all, whether this is your first indoor rowing competition, or whether you are an experienced racer. If this is your first time then beware - racing can be enormous fun and seriously addictive!

All you have to do is turn up and row as far as you can in 1 minute. We are running separate competitions for men and women. We will be offering a bottle of champagne to the winner of each competition, as well as giving away some Ajala Spa prizes at random, just for taking part.

Row24 will be running from 9am on 23rd August 2012 until 9am on 24th August 2012. You can row your 1 minute at any time during that event. You can set the resistance as you prefer (but you cannot change it during your row). We are expecting the competition to be busiest between 5pm and 8pm, so if you want to be sure of getting to race at this time then just send an email to contact@q-power.co to book a slot.

Date and Time: 23rd - 24th August 2012 (9am to 9am)

Venue: St. Paul's Health Club at the
Grange St. Paul's Hotel, London EC4V 5AJ
Race distance: As far as you can row in 1 minute

Entry Fee: £5 donation to Cancer Research UK
(1 attempt per entry - multiple entries allowed)

Prizes: Winners will be contacted after the event
You do not need to be at the club on 24th August

Sprinting for 1 minute on a rowing machine is an intense form of exercise and may not be suitable for those not regularly participating in an exercise regime. Competitors enter the competition at their own risk and will be asked to sign an indoor rowing standard form disclaimer before racing. If you have any doubts about racing you should consult your healthcare advisor in advance.
